Wow, 3 weeks of no posting! Bet'cha you were zhadou (means stunned) by the weird title. Well, I'll explain one by one before someone actually hunts me down for the meaning of it. (Lol, does anyone even actually read the crap that I put up in the blog?). Truthfully, I still have two 100% weightage assignments to finish up and I'm seriously stucked! So not much time to frequently update you see...
First of the bat, New Years of course! A brand new post for the new year wouldn't be proper without a post on the NY celebrations right? Well, celebrations this time wasn't as grand as Curve, 1U or like Pavillion back home. This time only got the chance to view a mediocore firework display here at Nottingham itself. At the struck of Midnight (well, 3 strokes earlier, but who was counting? ^^ ) boom after boom of fireworks started! But seriously though, of all the fireworks display I've seen her in Nottingham, New Year's was the worst. Even the bonfire night display was better! (Previous post on the fireworks and bonfire night is here).
Ok, with that done, next up, New Year's Resolution! I went digging up my old MySpace and found an old post of New year's resolution. It was back when we were welcoming the year 2009. (Ah, what a great year that was!) Well, let's have a recap shall we?
- Finish my degree course with results that i can be proud off (well, 2-1 with a small margin to first class ain't all bad!)
- Decide on my masters course in the UK (Yup, decided and nor pursuing my childhood dream!)
- Settle any unfinished business i still have left here in Malaysia (Have to really say, that this wasn't fully complete. They were 1 or 2 people who I really wished I could have seen before I flew off)
- Try to believe in romance and love again (No comments on this one! =D )
- Learn to dance !!!! (Belly dancing's good ^^ )
- Get a better and healthier body :D (Yup, now i'm 62 kg and muscle mass kinda good! Yay me!)
- Reconnect with old friends (The power of Facebook! So many old friends found!)
- Forgive the unforgiven (Done! Nuff said)
- Saying "Sorry" and reconcile broken bonds (err.... Sorry was the hardest part to say dear.. )
- Scold and scorn those who really been asking for it, but in a nice way of coz... ^.^ (Yea, practically screamed my heart out! Not literally though. Just practically. READ!)
- No more being 'too' patient with everything (This was definitely the hardest! Seriously it's like trying to carve out a part of me! Still, i'm halfway through it =) )
- Finally, to reveal more secrets about myself that people been bugging to know... (Failed due to privacy issues ^^ )
Wow, the original idea was to have a resolution for each month, but having like 70% of it done is like..... GREAT! (That's a distinction mark btw!). Hehe, so what's left for 2010 you ask? Not really sure but lets leave the dilly dallies and make it simple shall we?
This year's resolution is to get into IBM Technologies! I seriously want to get into their company and make a fair mark on the world with my name! No more pissing and grunting over the uselessness of my course or whatsoever! Like it or not, all of the choices that were made before this was all mine, so I'll take full responsibility for them, and make the best out of it! That would have been what so many people had entrusted me to do with form the start! Took me a long time to realize that.
(SFX : Burning flames in the eyes and lightning roars in the background. Drum rolls, volcano explodes..... Well, you get the general idea ^^)
Third agenda, would be my new term of class! Well, semester started on the 11th, and was kinda good. Since half of the class already graduated, we got a bunch of new intake students. That totals up to a whopping number of 40 right now ^^. Shocking part is, I wouldn't expect that many people from Libya! O.O
I'm no racist or anything, but to fill up 90% of the class is.... well... shocking! Turns out after the Libyan government got liberated, they focussed heavily on the education sector, giving out MANY government loans for overseas studies. (This only apply to Libyans, or so I heard). So happen most of them picked NTU and it's famous cybernetics course! Haha, sounds SOOO much like JPA right? =D
For those whom do not know, JPA's Malaysian's Government Scholarship Programme. (What a waste! I got 1 too many B's to apply for it. GAH!!! If i had it I wouldn't wound up at KBU!). Well, no regrets there, as KBU did had its 'finer' good merits ^^.
Back to topic, I went for my usual English classes this week, hoping to see my dear old (now, that's an udnerstatement. OLD!) lecturer, Lezli. We were supposed to start some intensive classes for job placement and sommunication skills this sem. But she was terribly late. In the end, the class just got cancelled. During the wait, got to speak to a few new friends from India, China, and Libya (yahoo!).
Miss Rudna (which i'm sure means tempest in some language ^^) from India was the one who told me about the Libyans in Uni. So here i'm citing her before I get sued! haha! The interesting part comes next! You see, for the past 3 months here in UK, I've been having identity problems you see. When I meet a Malaysian who runs an Asian shop here, she and the husband always think that I'm from Mainland China! I dun mind once or twice, but ALWAYS and believe me, I rectified here like a million times! Grr...
Being retarded and ironic (as it already has!), my china friends here think I'm Thailand heritage (FTW!!!). Lolz, Malaysian identity totally flew out the window! At the very least, when I met a few Malaysians from the other University of Nottingham, they recognized me as a fellow countrymate, due to the '-la' slang! ^^
Well, there's always a silver lining in between the clouds right? Back to Miss Rudna, and another China Guy who so happened to be in the conversation. They actually tried guessing my nationality when we were trying to introduce ourselves. The only thing they could think of was, I'm either a Korean or Japanese! (Well, no more I'm Chinese joke!)
I was seriously laughing inside out! (Not literally la kay! Keke) According to them, I really look like one! Well, I know I've been trying to have an image makeover due to the miss-mainland issue, but NOT that big of a makeover! But still, it was a pretty nice comment!!! The only bad part was, when I asked my friends about it, they just say I was too pale, and that was the sole reason of it! Dam you all! XD
FInally, I'm done ranting! Nothing much left to blog about. No pics in this post, so hope it wasn't too boring for ANYONE who's reading this. Signing off now.
PS: I finally got my bokken! Can finally continue practicing this week. =)
Ciaoz~

There is but one person here that still reads the so called crap. It's the same all over the world where people with white skin find calling people with yellow skin mainly Chinese and not Malaysian, Indonesian Chinese or Taiwanese Chinese. The same goes to yellow skins calling white skins Westerners, as opposed to Germans, English, Americans. And not to forget the black skins that we will automatically label as Africans, be they African Americans, Jamaicans or Carribeaners (made up)
Brother, I live for only one resolution and one resolution alone... Survive the Year!
Pale? You better get back here and tan yourself before its too late. Soon they be saying you're from the underworld or the Ghost realm.
I'm more afraid of this comment being more boring that your post... OR my blog being more boring that your blog to be honest so... don't worry about it.
Buahahahahaha
