Buy and throw away
Sorry 'bout the weird post title, but yea! That's what this short post is all about. Ever wondered why parents these days keep buying BATA school shoes for their kids? Well they are easily manageable, reliable enough, and most importantly cheap to change half yearly or yearly basis! Hence the acronym for "Buy And Throw Away!" :D
I actually bought my own pair of BATa and it well expired itself before its 6 month's notice. So, had'da walk crocodile footed the entire morning.
So here I am waiting at the roadside for mr cobbler to finish fixing my shoes. Luckily there's a good shade under the tree :D

Christmas is in the air
**Testing this new app for my Pad. Seems durable and user friendly I guess ^^ **
Anyways December is here for 2011!!! And X-Mas is only a few days away! Ah, the Christmas shopping (and not forgetting the New Year's too!)
The one sad thing about this Year's Christmas is that it's gonna be short. Walking by shops and offices lately y start to listen to the Christmas jingles and usual songs. But once 2012 hits us in a mere 3 weeks, *poof* goes the seasonal songs and in comes CNY season. Ain't that a short season guys? Well with Ang Paus to look forward to, who cares much right? ^^
Well to end the post, here's something to look forward too. Happy season greetings everyone~~~~
P/S : Anyone wanna watch 'New Year's Eve' the movie with me? Heard it's good :)

A Gaga Christmas
It's November 25th and guess what? Christmas is exactly a month's time away! Hurry with those Christmas shopping, gift wrappings, socks hanging, turkey stuffing and not forgetting practice for carolings as time is running short! Maybe I'll finally get my presents this year :-)
To get into the mood, here's a Christmas song by Mama Monster herself. Enjoyz!

Lousy service and salad-less dinner
This is one of those flaming posts, so readers...
****BEWARE****
"Looking for Black Forest, Black Forest.... roger?"
***faints***
With that kinda incident, didn't had any real apatite for dinner. So a simple mocha and grilled black pepper chicken at Secret Recipe had to do! XD
****BEWARE****
Tonight was one of those nights whereby parents had to attend some society dinner. Well, if the folks came all the way from Sarawak, Sabah and China, you had to entertain them right? Besides the point, dinner at home wasn't an option so I headed out to Mid Valley gym session. Good way to burn time for one quick evening right? Still have to work those abs of mine. They are so puny right now >.<
Newayz~ after sweating it all out, decided to pay Metrojaya a patronage. The lousy sales person who took my pre-order booking hasn't call me back after 3 weeks of waiting. What terrible service! So guess I had to go there again and manually pick up the shirt and ask for an on the spot stock check.
Having both Jusco and Metrojaya in MV, prices sure are competitive :D
Upon reaching the Black Forest section, no one was freaking there! Had to wait for like 5 mins till I lost my patience and went to seek the only sale person around at the next section beside it (which was a women's lingerie section @.@ )! Ish, after asking nicely for someone to help me find the proper size for theparticullar shirt, she went around shouting.....
"Black Forest! Black Forest, Mana kau?!"
Well, a bit embarrassing at first, but I guess sales people after 8 are a bit edgy. Bear in mind this lady was a young Chinese lady! A 'quick' 10 mins later, she returned with the security guard. Clueless as he is, he asked what he can do for me. (Arg, I just wanted a simple sales person to assist me!) So there I go explaining that I need a stock check on the particular shirt for my size. Then there he goes on his walkie-talkie.....
"Looking for Black Forest, Black Forest.... roger?"
***faints***
Gosh, that was really a 'BIG' help! after like a min of mumbling over the device, he finally helps me to check the stock. HOWEVER....... I had to wait for like 15 mins and he still hasn't returned! Being at the end of my patience, I just walked off for dinner.....
With that kinda incident, didn't had any real apatite for dinner. So a simple mocha and grilled black pepper chicken at Secret Recipe had to do! XD
~As per menu~
Well, it looks yummy on the menu right? Yummy grilled chicken, dipped in freshly grounded black pepper sauce, a nice serving of herb rice and an added serving of fresh garden salad~ Such a nice mix~~ But looks can be so deceiving as you would soon read......
Putting aside it was already 8.30, I would expect the food was still good as it was far from closing time. But when the dish came, the salad was missing. All that was in it's place was.......
Literally a corn on a stick!!!!
(Start inserting foul words here)
Gosh! what a let down. So I immediately called the waiter and ask about the salad which is on the menu. His response was:
"Oh sorry, kita dah tukar, tapi tak beritahu kat menu"
(Kindly insert MORE foul words here) =.="
Well, apparently, even the neighboring tables asked about the salad, but couldn't bother to complain much as they were busy dating and having couple cakes. Without any more energy to mutter out even a sigh of disbelief, I just finished my food, text a few friends and left quietly. Oh yea, not forgetting paying and complaining about the food to the cashier as well (<_<)"
Guess it's not my night today. Gotta work tomorrow, so hitting the sack early.
Twilightz Signing off~

Blog trauma and a new start
This blog initially started as a place of ranting and a place for me to dwindle away with my everyday thought. At first, writing posts were kinda natural back in the old MSN domain days. And then came friendster notes and finally blogspot. For those who do not know, this BS (Blogspot :D ) domain is actually my second one.
Well, I'm already half way there as I scored 2 out of 4! Impending doom much! Hence, Mr Simon here has made a vow to make at least 1 post every week, and a minimum of 6 every month. Let's see how i fare from there! Gambateh~~
So guys, help refer and visit often! I've only got 1.2k visitor in the past 2 years :(
~Ciaoz~
First post of this domain back in 2009.
It's been such a long time
It's been such a long time
Before long, the blogging habit started to die down badly to the state it is today. Well, it wasn't my laziness is to blame, but rather the lack of intuitively fresh ideas, time and passion for it. Ever notice that most blogs die down cause no one likes reading them? It's either the posts are boring, too much words, bad BG and sometimes even irritating music. (yes even music)
Damn you brain of mine!

body of 24
Updates time~
Now that the writer's block season has passed, let's have another post shall we? ^^
I guess the topic of the week shall be something vain. Guess what', this blog post is all about my health and fitness. So, for the faint hearted and easily bored ones, you'd better click alt + F4 now, wahahaha!
After 6 months of returning to the gym, my body is finally back to normal! (Well almost normal). Upon returning from abroad, my weight dropped from my initial 65 kgs down to a mere whopping 62 kgs. Well, this ain't such as a happy feat as it sounds as even losing weight has it's own stories of blood and tears. Anyhow, after being back in the land of abundant food, my weight could only go up by point five (0.5) kgs no thanks to my amazing metabolisme! This only meant that the muscles that I built up in the past year prior to the trip was gone for good~
Sensing the impending danger like any other over self aware teen (coughs coughs~~), the whole mission of going to the gym restarted after a year long of hiatus. Through countless workouts, push ups and panting from cardios on the treadmill, I'm finally a bit closer to achieving my optimum body weight. A very vain thing to say indeed, but I'm kinda proud of it ^^
The real story of this post begins now. Just the otherday I was approached by the trainers and was offered a few free sessions along with a full body analysis or something. Well, being gullible as I am usually am, I just cheerfully accepted the deal. It was the body analysis that actually managed to shock me the most. Normally you would expect the results to be disappointing right?
Well, being the owner of our own bodies, one would always assume that as long as the perception of one's body is not good, you'll be actually hoping for a bad result. No difference here as I was standing on the BMI machine, letting the weird looking thing taking my many readings and such.
Ok, and here's the machine's verdict.
- I'm officially 66.4 kgs in weight - This is 2 kg less muscle mass from my optimum weight
- My core and arms have balanced fat to muscle ratio - So I guess it's balance gua. No over sized hulk arms at the very least
- Low heart beat rate - A potential low blood pressure syndrome which is not suprising as I'm always sensitive to temperature changes
- About 10% of total body fat - the average for Malaysian Males
- legs have 5% more fat than it is supposed to have - Two words says it all, 'Fat Heavy Arse' :)
- and finally, the most suprising one of all, I have a body and health of a 24 year old. - Well, a bit of a bad news should be in the mix right? (and yes, i'm not 24 yet!
So with this kinda results, it's kinda mix feelings of either being a good or bad news. At a glance,e it seems rather right to call this the bringer of good news as my workout has been slightly paying off. It's just the abs that's still lacking. On the other hand, this proves that I've gotta work even harder for my health and body. Arg, the agony~
Wootz, it's 2011/2011 !
Gosh, 4 months of hiatus and November's ending soon. Time really flies when you are busy working and tending to life matters. Tons of things to update before 2012 comes around the corner and says hi to all of us! Arg, where have time fled all this months? >.<
Well, biggest event to boot is, IT'S November! It's finally here and guess what, it's mua's birthday month! Well, not a great or auspicious day as it was also the first day of SPM (as like every other year). But heck, i'll still celebrating it~ Booya!
on the eve of it, had a mini celebration with some old college mates. Watched Immortals at GSC, dinner-ed at shabu-shabu 1U, and ended the night with drinks at the Sanctuary Curve. Movie was lame, dinner was full of meat and just ok, while the night ending drinks were great! Top that up with a previous 3 days streak of drinking, and oh boy, did my tummy gloat~~ XD
Mediocore. Nice storyline but lame graphics.
Food Galore - meat, meat and more meat!
And a flaming arse drink to end the night
On the great day itself, thing's just had to go bad as the monorail had to break down. So had'a walk all the way from office to the LRT station which took 20 whole mins under the rain. Once home, had a simple chicken rice dinner. Rather sad dinner as sis had to have SPM the next day, so can't complain can I? At least they bought me my fav choc cake at home, haha!!!
Well it wasn't that all bad. At least I blew two cakes that day =) <~pix as follows~>
Chicken rice and asam fish gone in flat 15 mins!
Tiramisu cake by the guys in office! Thanks !
(please ignore the name >.<")
American choc cake. Sis chose it :)
Overall, Simon Day wasn't so bad (gosh, i referred myself as a third person! LOL!). Cake, wishes, food, friends, candles and even wall spam on Facebook! Who could ask for more right? Guess the only things that were missing were my birthday gifts. For a guy who finally turned 23 (oh me god~ so fast! cough coughs~), he sure needs at least a present right?
Oh well, better luck next year gua~
P/S : No more graveyards please...

Arrogance = Ignorance
Ah, it's the time of the year again. It's Merdeka guys! Time to prancy around in your best red, blue, white and yellow clothings and annoy the heck out of people watching you! Well, not like I actually do it of course ^^
Although i'm not really the kind to march down the road with the JG (jalur gemilang) flag, still I celebrate it in my own little way. This year, it became the perfect opportunity to chillax with some long disconnected friends. Top that up with an extended raya break, that makes even more friends to reconnect with :p
One of the best part about having holidays is, the long awaited getaway from work. A temporary break from the 9 to 5 cycle is just what the doctor ordered.

Nightmares
How often were you awaken in the middle of the night dues to a horrid dream, or fatal nightmare? Well, that's been occurring to me for the entire weekend. No thanks to overdose migraine and flu, one just can't believe the amount of times one can suffer nightmares.
Putting aside the case from a few months back where the same nightmare keeps recurring itself every night for a whole week, this recent encounter sure sums up as the most chronic one yet. Well, the worst part yet, is that the nightmares are revolved around work. FML!
( not a good thing as a dangerous virus is getting spread around work lately =[ )
Maybe I should consider taking more vitamins and ginseng now.... hmmm~
Perhaps this is a prelude to a beautiful nightmare instead? :p
Ending the post with the exact song this time. Have a ice week ahead guys!

Cycle of Life
A quick post 3 month's update, and guess what? I'm still very well alive! Almost forgot about Mr. Blog over here thanks to work and busy weekends. So how's everyone? As usual, it's time again to dust and clean up the place.
Amidst months of another hiatus, seriously have no idea on what to write about. So let's end this post with a short passage that I extracted somewhere.
"School is very important. We go to school to learn a skill or profession so as to be contributing member of society. Every culture needs teachers, doctors, mechanics, artists, cooks, business people, police officers, firefighters, soldiers. Schools train them to so our culture can thrive and flourish......
Unfortunately, for many people, school is the end, not the beginning."
This extracted passage been bugging me a bit lately. Although it has been repeated countless time ever since kindergarten yet the phrase will forever feel brand new to me. As a brought up engineer, it has always been at the back of my mind to re-contribute back to society.
Yet, being a a mid-fresh grad, there is so much I'm left unknown about the world and there's where a good job comes into play. Through working experience we start to learn more on not the technical aspects of our respective fields, but the more humane nature part of it as well. Hence, life is a never ending cycle of learning, doing mistakes and rising above all challenges.
Despite all that, it is so saddening that most people start to loose sight of this as soon as they fall into the trap of repetitive work cycle. Ambitions, fiery passion and personal characteristic and charm start to fade away, leaving nothing but am empty shell of a repeating robot.
Just hope I do not turn into a robot in a few years time.... (unless if I come with cool laser eyes and rocket launchers ^^)

Morality Issues
Ever since Standard 1, we were though moral in school. Being 'dyed' with what one might call ideal moral values, how on earth would these group of children grow up to be wrong right? Naturally, one would expect that once these group of children grow up, they would be responsible adults. Well, who wouldn't, if they knew the basic boundaries of acting courteous from being a complete rude person.
Well, I've been itching to finish this post up ever since 2 weeks ago. Time sure has a way of keeping me tied up while fleeting away due to my new job, and social life, I've just been completing this post word by word, day by day. This particular morality issue didn't even occur to be a problem to me, until i started riding the monorail to work.
Like what I've stated before, Malaysian have been taught moral studies as early as primary school and all the way up to uni life. But thanks to the natural human nature of 'some', such stuff are useless. Replies like "I can score moral with A's since it's just memorizing" or "Moral is useless, I'm already good enough" are amongst other usual colundrums that you would normally hear. Well, reality check, all things happen for a good reason!
Thanks to 'meat-heads' like them, we ended up in a community that's so career and money driven till the point of depriving themselves of the most common of values. My delicate anger switch was finally triggered when I saw how rude Malaysians and public transport were. My story this time fully revolves around the monorail that I've been using for the past 1 month. Frankly 1 month isn't a long time, and yet I see may such occurrences happening everyday.
Imagine seeing people rushing into the monorail when it arrives, hitting and pushing everyone else so that they can enter faster. In the midst of this all, pregnant ladies are sandwiched, feeble elderlies are knocked down, and poor old me even got slammed onto the wall from excess squeezing of people - sardine style. Well, I just don't get the idea of rushing into the monorail at all! Since the monorail is man driven, and he'll wait till everyone gets onboard, what's the logic behind the rushing, pushing and rude shoving of arms into other's faces just to be one man faster!?! Best part yet, when an empty monorail cart reached the station, everyone still pushes and rushes while getting in. Oh come one, how less intelligent or patient can we get? Seriously, and you guys call yourselves matured adults?
If the physical actions weren't enough, some would even go to the extent of cursing and eye-swearing (act of intense and passionate eye staring. Not to be mistaken with love natured ones ^^) at the passengers in the cart who they presume to caused the human congestion.
Unfortunately, I got stuck standing next to them, while listening to their 15 min of 'passionate' words. The highlight was when we were entering the following cart, she not only pushed me physically by hitting my back, but her friend was hitting my sides trying to hasten the line. Isn't that assault in some way? Oh yea, did I mention that they were young girls? Even after glaring back at them, they just ignored it by turning their face away. If it wasn't because I believe in valor and chivalry, I would have smacked them there and then! (Please excuse the sudden anger breakout, Just needed to vent!
This reminds me of the instance of HoneyMahdu from Fly.FM who conducted a radio interview. The questio was 'What do you think of girls?' and the guy answered "Girls should just be nice'. Well, not being a sexist here, but fact remains, we are still rude people, despite how travel campaigns promote us as nice and warm people. Did you k ow even HSBC consumer ranking ranked Malaysia as the 9th friendliest country in the world (ref yahoo)? Well, isn't that a brain teaser now! XD
Enough ranting or I'll end up as the 'Ranting Sweed' again. For now, back to work.
Ciaoz~
P/S : Extra anger rant here. When I say that I work at the bank's HQ in KL, I stress that I DO NOT SELL CREDIT CARDS! How more dumb can you get? JEEZ!
Simple yet complicated for many

The Working Simon
Well, a quick update for my considered long hiatus. Can't believe how time actually flies when you are actually working. For those who do not know yet, YES, I'm actually employed (employed legally if I may add, although it was an actual overnight employment ^^)! Being bream packed for the past 3 weeks, it's not a suprise that my blogging streak has ended. Can't really say much about what I'm doing right now, due to corporate P&C thingy, but will try to update something about my work when I'm able to. =)
Being a 'project planner' isn't as easy as people might think. Of course, thinking and planning is a given part, yet the exploration, research, and field experiment plays a big role too! Trust me when I say this, it's always something to look forward to everyday as I've been given various tasks from random fields and areas for the sake of this project. From impromptu visits to branches to personal interviews with friends, nothing was in the norm of the common code of conducts (if there is one to begin with!). Even now, I'm based here in Kepong for a week to do some learning up and surveying.
Speaking of which, to those who had to go through my weird interview sessions a few week, back, truly sorry about how awkward it seemed. I know there were curses and words spouting out about it, but thanks for the honest feedback. 'We' really had a good time digesting your thoughts! Kam-sia!
Guess here ends my 'shorty'. Gotta go back to work as lunch hour's ending, More customer feedback and relation to attend to.
P/S : I'm getting an I-phone 4 soon, despite 5 coming out later this year in August. Well, I just can't wait kay!

IWD
Well, it's International Women's Day today!! Or rather it's actually yesterday. Anyhow, it's the time of the year to wish all of the girls, ladies, women and even grandmums for their contribution to both society and their family. Without you awesome ladies, I'm sure that the world wouldn't be so great right? *wink*
Well, I hope you guys thank them in your own little way. This post was meant to be earlier but I ended up napping from a long day's task today. When I came to, I actually spent almost 2 hours finding the cool vid of the women's flash mob in South Korea. Well, there was also the Women 100 celebs in KL, but flash mobs are cooler! What's the odds of flash mobbing actually being done officially these days anyway? ^_^

Somehow not many people recorded it, go figure~
Well, instead of watching the vid on korean mob, catch Daniel Craig a.k.a. Mr 007 himself dressed up in a drag for a PA representing an International Awareness group, 'Equal'.
PS: turn off the pesky mixpod app at the right side before watching =)

Quick Update
This is gonna be short and simple. Been lacking on the motivation department lately to do any forms of upkeeping to my blog. Since The Malaysian Game post, I've got like my birthday post, my graduation post, Paris and Germany trip with family post, back to Malaysia post, cny post, and even a lousy joke post to finish up. Think I'm gonna do it this weekend.
My 'play things' every night :)
Well, time for a quickie on what I've been doing lately. See the pic above? Well that's what's been keeping me busy for at least 90 mins every night. A bit show-offy, but rest assured, the effects aren't what people might first expect.
Maybe I should start hitting a proper gym by next month's end. Well, just a wishful thinking =)

Events leading up to 2011
Well well, sorry for another long hiatus, but I've been rather busy and sick for the past few weeks. Since I came back to Malaysia in December, it's been nothing but non stop tea sessions with my mates, a.k.a. yum cha sessions =)
(oh yea did i mention that I graduated? :p )
Well, yum cha is one thing, but for some peculiar reason, none of the food agreed with me. If it wasn't too oily, it was too spicy, unhealthy looking or just plain out dirty! Imagine the food torture I had to go through! Ain't it ironic though? Coming back to the Oriental land of foods and you find yourself hating or unable to visually nor gastronomically digest the food in front of yea? Maybe I'm not a true blue Malaysian?
So, scratch dim sum, nasi lemak, char kuey teou and other local favourite delicacies of my list. To be honest, I did savour some of them at first, but landed myself in the local ICU (my room ^_^ ) with heavy gastric and food poisoning. In total, I think i got it 3 times just this month? :p
Putting the small fry details aside, being back does have its good points as well yea know~ No more coffee shops that closes after 7, nor movie tickets that costs too much or even JUST toasted bread when you are hungry in the middle of the night. Everything is just a small drive away, or stocked up in your parent's fridge, hehe~
Christmas celebrations was a blast as I got to go to the new ICT place in Subang. Not as grand as I thought, since they
