Hehe, what an oxymoron title. Truthfully, I should be assignmenting, but heck, 15 mins of procrastination wouldn't hurt anyone right?
Back to the oxymorish title, (Yes, I said 'oxymorish' =D ) it's finally summer! Temperature was rising steadily at first, and it hit 27 degrees for the first time! Basking myself with the great sunlight was truly heaven! For the first time, I could only wear 1 T-Shirt and walk outdoors the whole day. The only drawback was the heat spell was quite unbearable in the afternoons. With no fan or cooling unit in my room, you could imagine the oven like heat!
Interesting enough, when the sun rises at 6 am, (Yes, it rises at 6am!) the rays of light somehow slip through my window panes waking me up to a sweaty morning. Well, trying to sleep through the night with so much heat is hard and you'll tend to sweat kay? Evenings were pretty much the same as the heat and noise makes it hard to nap. :-)
Yum, waking up to Brownies in the morn~
Thanks Housemate Wani!
As all good things, this heat spell soon came to an end~ Immediately after the super hot days, the temperature drastically dropped from 28 degrees to a mere 13 degrees again! The dastard island heat somehow attracted some oceanic winds and it cooled down the entire island of UK. Well, revise your geography lessons if you didn't understand that~ XD
Back to my point, the heat and cold cycle that we've been experiencing lately is taking a bad toll on my body. With 5 out of 8 assignments rushed this month, sleepless nights and stressful days, the weather is deteriorating my health. Getting sick and mild fever easier these days. If mum ever finds out, sure kena (get) lectured for 45 mins....
Well, ultimately I would prefer the cold season over the heaty weather anytime. Sure I would need to wear a jacket everywhere, but heck, no pimples, no sweat and best of all, I get to sleep peacefully at night! =)
Final product of Group Design project
Still, the final 3 assignments will mark the end of my spring semester. What's left would be the tiring summer long Project. So far, I got a good project title which is "Smart Green Home Automation using Neural Network processing through the usage of x10 Protocols'. Quite a chunk-some to swallow eh? To sum it up, it's just a smart light bulb controller! XD
Putting aside my assignments, I am actually wishing for time to pass by slower. Not because I would want more time to do my assignments (which I am doing barely fine), it's just the end of the semester is drawing near. Some people might not have noticed, but the next 2 weeks would be the last time I would ever see most of my new found friends here in Nottingham. The weeks after would be summer break and the new academic year that would resume in October. That would roughly be when I would end my course and graduate. So, yea.... it's a 2 weeks countdown to countless farewells and goodbyes. Heck, no one would miss me, would they?
Well, I need to get back to work A.S.A.P., as I got a teaching package assignment demo to prepare for on Friday. Lately I've been teaching stuffs so much that I've begun feeling like a lecturer myself! I guess that statement might have sparked off a few arguments, but heck, I would enjoy some 'discussions' before we part ways forever ~ :-(
